Kapolres Inhil, AKBP Duan Setyawan, emphasized that he would not issue a crowd permit on the eve of the peak of the new year.
“At New Year’s Eve, all entertainment venues at a maximum of 20.00 WIB must be closed. It advised that for New Year’s Eve, there are no crowds, crowds, convoys of vehicles, and fireworks parties,” said the Police Chief.
He appealed to celebrate New Year’s Eve in their respective homes with their families. It was an effort to break the chain of spreading covid-19 in Inhil.
“We emphasize that no form of the crowd is allowed. We make sure that on New Year’s Eve, there is no New Year’s Eve event permitted by the Inhil Police,” he said.
Furthermore, if the crowd found, his party would carry out humanitarian operations and take firm action against the violators. According to him, the Inhil Police ranks have set up monitoring and control posts in several places.
“We will carry out humanitarian operations if it found we will act (firmly),” he said.
Also, he said that his party had coordinated with the TNI, and local government agencies, in this case, the Satpol PP, to hunt down covid-19 offenders on New Year’s Eve. We have mobilized the officers to appealed not to crowds.
“We have told everyone that the officers be there to secure them. We will carry out humanitarian operations, we will appeal to all,” he concluded.
