A student from the UMI Industrial Technology Faculty named Andi Muhammad Akbar was found dead in the area of Pung Bunga waterfall, Tompobulu, Maros, South Sulawesi after drowned on the afternoon of Sunday, December 27.
His body was found by the SAR search team at 08.30 am local time.
A joint team from the police, BPBD, Damkar, SAR Unhas, KSR UMI, SAR UNM, as well as a team of volunteers and humanitarian aid students managed to find and evacuate the victim.
Known, the victim and his friend were on vacation at the Pung Bunga waterfall, Maros.
At the request of the family, the victim’s body was immediately brought to the funeral home on Jalan Tanggul Kota to be buried.
