The Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), HM Wardan made a working visit to Reteh District, Friday (1/1/2020) in order to inaugurate the bridge connecting Parit Sumber Hayat with Parit Sumber Makmur in Sebrang Sanglar Village, Reteh District.
It is important to know that previously the concrete bridge connecting Parit Sumber Hayat and Parit Sumber Makmur collapsed due to being hit by heavy water, which occurred on Saturday (11/14/2020) at around 18.30 WIB.
During this working visit, the Regent not only inaugurated the bridge but also took the time to perform Friday prayers at one of the mosques in Sebrang Village, Reteh District and he had the opportunity to deliver the Friday Sermon.
The Regent in his direction when inaugurating the Connecting Bridge said that as one of the bridges between the two regions, namely Parit Sumber Hayat and Parit Sumber Makmur, it has a vital role for the community in supporting daily activities.
“For this reason, it is hoped that the community, especially Sebrang Sanglar Village, will care for and maintain this bridge. Because apart from being a place for people to pass between the 2 regions it also functions as a facility to support the local economy. Like transporting plantation products for sale,” he said.
