Two car loads of friends have been fined after travelling 175 miles to visit a beauty spot during the lockdown.
The party drove down from Coventry to the idyllic Durdle Door in Dorset yesterday morning. The eight people, aged in their 20s, were stopped by police when they arrived at about midday.
Each person was fined £200 and the cars were ordered to turn around.
The group was described as being ‘blasé’ about the Covid restrictions, while the country is in the grips of a deadly wave of mutant Covid.
