How much time do you think it will take to climb 768 steps of stairs? Now imagine doing that on or with a cycle, how much time will it take then?
In just 30 minutes, French cyclist and mountain biker Aurelien Fontenoy managed to climb the 768 steps of Trinity Tower on his bicycle.
He took his bike all the way up to the 33rd floor, and not once did his feet touch the ground during the climb, according to Reuters.
The seemingly impossible feat was accomplished at Trinity Tower, a newly opened skyscraper in Puteaux.
A short video shows Aurelien starting on the first floor with his challenge. On the steps of the winding staircase, his bike executes small bunny-hops and hits the 33rd floor slowly.
People are seen cheering and clapping in the background as he is seen semi-standing on the cycle.
The video shows Aurelien struggling a little on the last steep and slippery metal staircase.
Aurelien eventually places his foot on the ground after hitting the 33rd floor and raises the bike up over his head.
“It was incredibly long. I thought it would never end when I was inside, the more I climbed floors, the more pain I felt, especially in the shoulders, under my feet, everywhere,” he reportedly said.
“But I am really very happy, especially with the last metal staircase, which was very steep and slippery, there was no room for mistakes,” he added.
