A man with the initials MA (26), a narcotics maker of the fake Ecstasy pill, was arrested by the Police Narcotics Unit of Indragiri Hilir in front of a Hotel at Telaga Biru Tembilahan Hulu on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at around 00.30 WIB.
The Chief Police of Indragiri Hilir, AKBP Dian Setyawan on Sunday, February 21, 2021, explained that his party had just received the results of a laboratory examination of the fake ecstasy content.
Dian Setyawan said that MA admitted that the fake Ecstasy pills were formulated by himself in his house, with the composition of headache medicine, mosquito coils, eye drops, mineral water, and food coloring.
“This is confirmed by the results of examining samples of ecstasy pills that were brought by Sat Narcotics investigators to the Riau Regional Police’s Puslabfor, a certificate from the criminalistic laboratory results stating that the fake ecstasy pills contained acetaminophen and caffeine, not including narcotics or psychotropic drugs,” Dian Setyawan explained.
MA admits that it markets the ecstasy pills it produces in Tembilahan at a price of IDR 200 thousand per item.
“The Supreme Court reported sufficient evidence and can be upgraded to the process of investigation in cases of health crimes, article 197 Jo 196 RI Law No. 36 of 2009 on Health,” said Dian Setyawan.
