The island, called Bawah, has an area of about 300 hectares. The island will be limited to 70 people for each visit. The lower island has three lagoons with clear water to 13 beaches with soft white sand.
There are many interesting activities that can be done on Bawah Island. Visitors can try water sports to trekking into the forest to see wildlife in their natural habitat. Moreover, Bawah Island has 13 beautiful virgin beaches.
In addition, visitors can also tour the nearby islands and a fishermen’s village for an additional fee. Visitors can hunt as many photos as they like.
The location of Bawah Island
Bawah Island is in the heart of Anambas Island, Riau Islands. Administratively, this island is part of the Anambas Islands Regency, Riau Islands Province,
This island can only be accessed by sea or by using a seaplane or an airplane that can land in the sea.
Route to the Bawah Island
Bawah Island can be accessed by sea. Departing from Tanjungpinang on Bintan Island, visitors can take a ferry to the capital city of the Anambas Islands Regency, namely Tarempa. The city is located on Siantan Island.
But before leaving, it’s a good idea to check the ship’s departure schedule first. The PELNI Bukit Raya ship, for example, serves the Tanjung Pinang-Tarempa route but only twice a month. The journey is up to 20 hours.
However, if you use an ordinary boat that departs every day from Tanjungpinang, the trip can be taken in about 10 hours. Once in Tarempa, visitors must charter a ship to Bawah Island with an estimated travel time of 4-5 hours.
There are 37 bungalows consisting of Tent Villa and Water Villa, as well as various other facilities such as an infinity pool, bar, library, and spa. The resort is planned to be officially opened in April 2017. The ecosystem in Bawah Island and its surroundings is still very well preserved.
