A resident in Air Tawar Village, Kateman District, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), Riau named M. Jufri was attacked by a crocodile while bathing in a canal near his house on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Initially, the 50-year-old man intended to take a bath, but while he was bathing, a crocodile approached and pounced on him.
Then he shouted for help.
One of the residents who was patrolling around the canal could hear his screams and immediately tried to help the victim who was trying to get out of the canal.
The victim was finally rescued by the witness and brought to the clinic of Pulau Sambu company to get help.
“The victim survived but suffered torn left leg and left hand and right middle finger and received 30 stitches on his left hand and 12 stitches on the left leg,” said Danramil 06 / Kateman Kapten Inf Iwan Andoko.
