Bidadari Waterfall is located in Karang Dalam Village, Pinang Island District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra, approximately 231 km from the city of Palembang.
This waterfall also has another name Ayek Asam Waterfall which is often referred to by the local community. The water flowing in this waterfall empties into the Lematang River.
This waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Asam River, its height is about 30 meters and the top width is about 10 meters and the bottom width is about 15 meters.
It is called the Bidadari Waterfall because it is said that this waterfall is the bathing place of the angels. Regardless of the history of the name, this waterfall is quite beautiful and interesting.
Around this waterfall, there are three waterfalls that can be enjoyed while tracing the charm of the Bidadari Waterfall.
These waterfalls include:
- Bujang Gadis Waterfall with a height of 4 meters, is about 30 meters below the Bidadari Waterfall
- Sumbing Waterfall with a height of about 35 meters, is about 80 meters from Bujang Gadis Waterfall
- Nafa Waterfall with a height of about 10 meters, is about 50 meters from Sumbing Waterfall.
This Bidadari Waterfall has its own charm to attract visitors. Besides being able to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, you can also refresh your body by swimming in the lake under the waterfall.
Around the waterfall, there are naturally lined coral rocks that look very beautiful.
Because of its beautiful charm, Bidadari Waterfall was once made into a filming location.
For the best time to visit Bidadari Waterfall is during the summer, because during the rainy season the beauty of the waterfall can be covered with fog and the water discharge will be heavier.

This waterfall is approximately 16 km from the city of Lahat or 231 km from the city of Palembang.
The road to get to the location of Bidadari Waterfall can be reached by car or motorbike.
When you arrive at Karang Village, the journey continues on foot through a path that is served in the form of coffee and rubber plantations owned by local residents. The travel time needed from Karang Dalam Village to the waterfall location is approximately 45 minutes.
