Bandung’s natural attractions are very diverse, ranging from busy places to places that are still empty of visitors.
Well, for those of you who want to spend time in a tea garden in Lembang, the Sukawana tea garden can be an alternative. The place is indeed a little hidden, so it is rare to come here.
The Sukawana Tea Plantation is under PTPN VIII, including the Bukit Unggul plantation, Sukawana part. Previously, this area was known as ‘pangheotan’. It’s said this name came from the name Van Houten, a Dutch who owned a plantation here.
Now, PTPN VIII prefers the name Sukawana to refer to this tea plantation area. Here, there is also a tea processing factory for export.
The plantation area itself is not as large as other tea plantations in Bandung such as Rancabali, Ciwalini, and so on. However, because it is a tea plantation that is actively producing, the tea garden area is well preserved and beautiful.
From here we can enjoy Mount Burangrang and Tangkuban boats which seem to be right in front of our eyes. This place is well suited to be an alternative natural tourist spot in Bandung.
