Owners of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indragiri Hilir Regency are asked to take care of business permits and halal certification for the products they market.
The request was conveyed by the Head of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Diskop UKM) Indragiri Hilir Regency, Tengku Eddy Efrizal during a visit and submitted the registration number for MSMEs Nyiur Oleh-Oleh Tembilahan.
He said business permits and halal certification are very important for MSMEs in carrying out their activities so that products marketed will be legal and recognized nationally and product marketing can be carried out more widely.
“We see that the Nyiur Souvenirs from Tembilahan deserve to be promoted because, in addition to accommodating UMKM products in Indragiri Hilir Regency, they also have their own superior product, namely the Hamparan Tatak cake, so it needs to be further promoted in the future,” said Eddy.
For this reason, he continued, The Office of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of Indragiri Hilir will provide assistance for several other problems faced by MSMEs, such as licensing matters which will be coordinated with related OPDs so that Indragiri Hilir MSMEs can become a priority in obtaining permits and halal certification.
“For broad marketing, the halal certification has become the main requirement for a product. That is one of the supports from the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government through the Cooperatives and SME Service to develop MSMEs that are able to carry the name of Indragiri Hilir Regency more widely,” he explained.
