The Regent of Siak Alfedri hopes that Bumi Siak Pusako Company is not only a profitable of Regional Owned Enterprises but can become agents of development in the future.
For this reason, Bumi Siak Pusako Company must be able to have good corporate governance, bypassing an assessment in the form of an audit, review, and evaluation conducted by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of Riau.
“We, as controlling shareholders, would like to thank the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of Riau for evaluating the Good Corporate Governance (GCG) at Bumi Siak Pusako (BSP) in 2020,” Alfedri said while attending the GCG Assessment Meeting of Bumi Siak Pusako Company, at Surya Dumai Building, 6th Floor Office – Pekanbaru.
He explained, from the results of the assessment carried out by BPKP Riau Province, the details of the achievement of the score, with the predicate category were sufficient at 66.52.
“Earlier we saw that the score was quite good, the number obtained was 66.52 if the test score was passed. However, this is a note and a guideline for all of us, starting from shareholders, commissioners, directors, directors, and ranks. We encourage how companies carry out their activities well, perform well and perform well, ” he hoped.
Director of Bumi Siak Pusako, Iskandar said Bumi Siak Pusako company had implemented Good Corporate Governance (GCG) three years ago, to see whether the company’s performance was not good or getting better.
“We are committed to carrying out GCG with Siak. If there are deficiencies, we are ready to make improvements,” he said.
Head of Riau Province the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of Riau, Farid Firman, said, “However, we encourage of Regional Owned Enterprises to move forward, but we don’t fix the management as a lie,” he said.
One of the tasks mandated by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency in Presidential Decree No. 192 of 2014 is to audit, review, evaluate and provide consultation related to risk management, internal control, and governance of agencies or business entities.
“I really appreciate, Bumi Siak Pusako company is willing and has the intention to be evaluated, the value is quite good. We should not compare it with Regional Owned Enterprises with high value,” he explained.
Present at the event were the Head of the Audit Board of Riau Representative, the Head of the Autonomy Bureau, the Representative of Shareholders of the three majority shareholders namely Siak, Riau Province, and Pekanbaru City represented by Assistant Two, the Director of Bumi Siak Pusako and management.
