The Regent of Siak, Drs. H. Alfedri, M.Si accompanied by the Deputy Regent of Siak Elected Husni Merza and his entourage started the series of activities for the inaugural Ramadan Safari in 2021 at Baiturrahman Mosque, Tuah Indrapura Village, Bungaraya District.
The Ramadhan Safari, which started on the eighth day of the fasting month, still adhered to the Health Protocol, Alfedri and his entourage headed straight to Bungaraya District to break their fast together and pray tarawih in congregation at the Baiturrahman Mosque, Dusun II Rejo Winangun Tuah Indrapura, Bungaraya District.
In his remarks, Alfedri said the Ramadhan Safari activity was part of the Government’s efforts to establish friendship with the community, as well as listen directly to what the community wanted to convey.
“Alhamdulillah, tonight we can together to perform tarawih prayers in congregation and also attended by the Deputy Regent of Siak elected Mr. Husni Merza, we miss the Ramadhan safari, after 2 years we did not go on a Ramadan safari due to Covid 19.
He also appreciated the activities carried out that still applied the Health Protocol, so that any activities to be carried out must still follow the Health Protocol, this is still a large number of COVID-19 levels in Siak District.
“Of course, we have to wear masks and keep our distance and wash our hands, this can prevent the transmission of Covid. Let’s work together to prevent it,” said Alfedri.
In addition, he also conveyed that the community should always support the programs that will be implemented in Bungaraya District, be it the Infrastructure Development Program or the poverty alleviation program, such as the management of micro, small and medium enterprises.
“This is our effort to improve people’s welfare and become a prosperous society, of course without community support, it will not run smoothly”, he concluded.
Before the event was held, the Regent of Siak Alfedri and Deputy Regent Siak Alfedri were handed over to the Baiturrahman Mosque as well as cash assistance to orphans from the Riau Islands Corporate Social Responsibility Bank Riau Islands worth IDR 10 Million by Alfedri and Husni Merza symbolically.
