A number of residents who violated the Covid-19 Health Protocol (Protkes) who crossed Jendral Sudirman street-Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir were sentenced through an on-site trial.
The session was held at the Integrated Post at the Air Mancur Market, Jendral Sudirman street, Tembilahan Village, Tembilahan District, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
The trial activities at the operational site for law enforcement violations of the Covid-19 Indragiri Hilir Health Protocol are carried out in accordance with Article 44 E Jo. Article 23 A paragraph (2) letter a Regional Regulation of Riau Province number 4 of 2020 concerning amendments to regional regulation Number 21 of 2018 concerning Health Administration and Legislation.
Chief of Indragiri Hilir Police, AKBP Dian Setyawan through Public Relations Officer, Ipda Esra stated that if the offender is legally proven and believed to be guilty of a criminal act of violating the Health Protocol, he will be punished.
“The defendant is sentenced to a fine of 100 thousand rupiah on the condition that if the fine is not paid, it is replaced with a social work sentence or imprisonment for 3 (three) days,” he said.
In addition, offenders are also charged with paying a court fee of IDR 2 thousand.
“Today there are 6 offenders who were found guilty of violating the Covid Health Protocol. Yes, there were various penalties for social work and some paying fines,” he explained.
The offender was sentenced by the Tembilahan District Court Judge, Arif Indrianto, assisted by the Junior Criminal Clerk of the Tembilahan District Court, Iwan Uripno.
“We hope that the people of Indragiri Hilir Regency will remain aware of and obey the Covid-19 health protocol. What would be difficult if leaving the house using a mask, apart from avoiding the Covid virus, it can also keep the respiratory system away from various kinds of other disease viruses, smoke and dust,” he said.
