Following up on Government Regulation (PP) Number 43 of 2021 regarding the proposed delineation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Regent of Siak Alfedri conducted a field survey of the boundaries of Siak Regency and Kampar Regency.
A few days ago a number of districts in Riau attended a meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs Team and the Deputy Governor of Riau to discuss regional boundary issues.
“We (regional heads) are asked to solve the problem of district boundaries within 5 (five) months from the signing of the PP,” said Alfedri, in Rantau Bertuah.
He conveyed that the PP had been signed on February 2, so that starting July 2, all borders in Riau Province would have been resolved properly.
At that time, Regent Alfedri was accompanied by Siak Police Chief AKBP Gunar Rahadiyanto, Assistant I of the Siak District Secretariat Budhi Yuwono, Head of Government Administration, Penghulu Rantau Bertuah, and District staff.
The location of the observation points is at three points, which are in the village of Rantau Bertuah, Minas District.
The boundaries of Siak Regency that have been completed are between Siak and Pekanbaru, Siak with Pelalawan and Siak with Bengkalis. Meanwhile, those who haven’t finished are Siak with Rohil and Siak with Kampar
The content of PP 43 of 2021 is about Resolving Inconsistencies in Spatial Planning, Forest Areas, Permits and / or Land Rights.
Article 25 affirms that the Minister, head of institutions, governors and regents / mayors are obliged to resolve obstacles and problems in their respective fields in the context of resolving inconsistencies in spatial planning, forest areas, permits, concessions, land rights and / or management rights.
