The impact of the Eid al-Fitr blockade that has been implemented by the Government together with related parties seems to have produced significant results.
Previously, the Siak District in a red zone due to the high spike in Covid -19 cases, but after Eid with the Lebaran barrier, this former kingdom country is now an orange zone.
“Alhamdulillah, after Eid al-Fitr, positive cases of Covid 19 in Siak Regency have experienced a downward trend, from 560 cases a week before Eid, currently only 400 cases, followed from the red zone, and now our hope is the orange zone. can turn green, ” said the Regent of Siak Drs H Alfedri, M.Si while monitoring the mass vaccination in the Sungai Apit sub-district.
Therefore, as our efforts to continue to fight and do our best so that Siak Regency can succeed in being in the green zone, the struggle to suppress the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak must be supported by all parties including the people in the villages.
That is why apart from the mass vaccinations that the Government continues to strive to reach the village level, and on the other hand, we must comply with the health program.
“What the Government and related parties have done with regard to the insulation for the Eid homecoming is not the aim to curb people’s freedom to go home but this is purely to break the chain of spreading the Covid-19 outbreak,” said the Regent.
He also believes that if we all agree and comply with the existing rules regarding policies like this, plus we comply with the health program, then we can prevent this outbreak.
“But besides that, even though we can carry out the mass vaccination at the village level, and are supported by complying with health protocols, another way we have to do is pray a lot to the almighty, I hope this epidemic will end quickly,” he said.
