Relations between Russia and the United States have dropped to their worst level in recent years, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said in an interview with NBC.
“Our relations have fallen to the lowest point in recent years”, the Russian president said.
In late April, the White House revealed the list of topics that the US president, Joe Biden, can affect when a meeting with Putin.
Biden planned to discuss the conflict in Ukraine and the situation around Alexei Navalny.
Biden also plans to talk with Putin about the stabilization of relations between Moscow and Washington.
The Putin-Biden summit will be held at the Villa La Grange in Geneva, Switzerland on June 16.
The joint event of the leaders of the two countries will be the first since Biden took office.
Putin’s trip to Geneva will mark the first foreign visit of a Russian president since January 2020.
