The Regent of Siak Alfedri received a meeting of the Student Association of Siak – Bengkalis Regency (IPMKS-B) at the residence of the Regent of the Abdi Praja complex, Kampung Rempak.
“We appreciate the input from the younger students, related to employment opportunities. We are currently preparing 1000 MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) so that new job opportunities will open, of course this can also reduce poverty,” he said.
The government will later direct SMEs to what businesses are suitable to be developed in their villages, then MSMEs will be given guidance from related agencies, until they succeed.
“MSMEs that we foster, will be trained and fostered so that from upstream or the products produced to marketed we will help,” he said.
The Siak Regency Government is currently also preparing KITB (Tanjung Buton Industrial Area) this area is widely eyed by outside investors, many investors plan to come and see KITB but due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, their planned visit has been delayed.
“This area is a new job opportunity, and brothers and sisters as sons of Siak Regency, have fighters working there,” he asked.
He asked that students must play an active role in advancing the region, both in the masses in lectures until after college by opening a business or working in a company according to the disciplines that they get in college.
“Don’t choose to be a civil servant or honorary because the number you receive is limited, there are many other fields of choice for work, now it’s time to go online for products and then market them online, this is just one example,” he ordered.
