Siak Regency Regional Secretary Arfan Usman chaired a follow-up meeting to prepare for the inauguration of the Elected Regent and Deputy Regent of Siak Regency, which will take place on Monday 21 June 2021 at the Riau Governor’s Complex, Pekanbaru.
Arfan Usman said that the current Covid-19 pandemic situation limits the number of people present in the inauguration room of the Siak Regent Alfedri and Deputy Regent of Siak Husni Merza.
So, the Siak Regional Government took the initiative to provide a special place, so that officials, community leaders and media colleagues could witness the process through a zoom meeting.
“Before the invitation and family entered the event room at Rapid Antigen first, and even then according to the instructions of the provincial protocol, it was only limited to 25 people. Meanwhile in the second room or room to watch live it was limited to only 35 people,” said Arfan in the Rebung Pucuk Room, Siak Regent’s Office.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs, in this case the Governor of Riau also issued a notification letter No.131/PEM-OTDA/1346 dated May 29, 2021, forwarded to the Regional Government regarding the schedule for the inauguration of elected regional heads in Siak Regency.
The inauguration was directly led by the Governor of Riau Syamsuar, it is planned that after the procession of being inaugurated the Regent and Deputy Regent of Siak will depart for the city of Siak Sri Indrapura, make pilgrimages and prayers to the grave complex of the Hero Sultan Syarif Kasim IIX and the Relatives at the Tanah Tinggi cemetery, and followed by Thanksgiving at the Abdi Praja complex, Balai Datuk Four Tribes.
“We also limit the Thanksgiving event to guests and a series of ways, and we also apply health protocols. We in Siak also provide a zoom meeting room for officials and you close relatives can also witness the sacred process, through a zoom meeting/Video conference in the Siak room Live Room on the 2nd floor of the Siak Regent’s Office,” he said.
In addition, Arfan said at the time of the inauguration, it will be broadcast live through Siak TV streaming, RPK Radio, cable TV networks and live through the official social media of the Siak Regency Government.
“So later the public will not attend directly at the event location, but can witness it directly on the media mentioned above,” he concluded.
