The Regent of Siak Alfedri, inaugurated the Facilities and Infrastructure (Sarpras) of the Pelangi Induk Waste Bank in the form of a machine house and a perimeter fence. located at the Rainbow Siak Sri Indrapura Main Waste Bank.
The Sarpras is an aid to the social investment program of PT. Cevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) in the field of environment and community economic empowerment.
“We express our gratitude and highest appreciation to PT. CPI and Unilak who have fully supported the realization of the Rainbow Waste Bank Facilities and Infrastructure in the form of a machine house and a fence,” said Regent Alfedri at the beginning of his speech.
He then said that this program can increase productivity so that it is of greater benefit to environmental cleanliness and improving the community’s economy.
“This program can certainly increase production so that it can be of greater benefit to the environment, and also provide economic benefits for the community, especially in Siak City”, he explained.
Alfedri then hoped that through the inauguration of the machine house in order to increase the production of the Rainbow Induk Waste Bank, the regional target of reducing waste by 30% by 2025 could be achieved.
“We also hope that we can develop the Waste Bank program in other sub-districts so that the 30% waste reduction target can be achieved in 2025”, concluded Alfedri.
Meanwhile, in the same place, Unilak Deputy Chancellor II, Hardi said that the program carried out by the Unilak Research and Service Institute in the form of the Waste Bank Program (including the Rainbow Induk Waste Bank) was a form of community service.
“Hopefully we can continue this good cooperation and improve it in the future. This is a form of our service to the community”, he said.
The same thing was conveyed by the Senior Advisor for Corporate Affairs of PT. CPI Suyatno, that his party fully supports this program as a form of responsibility to the environment and society.
“This program to improve the facilities and infrastructure of the Pelangi Waste Bank is one of PT. CPI’s social investment programs in the field of environment and economic empowerment. This is a form of our responsibility in contributing to maintaining environmental cleanliness, maintaining public health, as well as an effort to support Mr. The Regent is to improve the economy of the community, especially the people in Siak District through this Pelangi Garbage Bank,” he concluded.
The event was then continued by cutting the ribbon as a sign of the inauguration of the operation/use of the machine house of the Pelangi Siak Sri Indrapura Waste Bank.
This activity was also attended by the Assistant for the Economy and Development of the Siak Regency Regional Secretariat Hendrisan, the Management of PT. CPI, the Unilak Rector, the Village Head of Rempak Village, Leaders and Communities of Siak District, Youth Leaders, and Lancang Kuning University Students, as well as dozens of Customers of the Main Waste Bank Rainbow District of Siak.
