In an effort to help the community overcome the waste problem and increase environmental awareness, the Siak Regency Government (Minas District) together with Lancang Kuning University (Unilak) and PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) has collaborated with the waste bank management program as stated in the MoU signed in 2019.
In line with this, last Tuesday, the Wandering Waste Bank Program Operational Launch was held at the Batin Djaonang Multipurpose Building, Minas Sub-district Office.
This Waste Bank is located on an area of approximately 1 hectare, precisely in the area of Hutan Wisata street, Minas Jaya Village, Minas District.
“We express our gratitude and highest appreciation to PT. CPI and Unilak who have fully supported the realization of this Waste Bank,” said Regent Alfedri.
It is hoped that this program will not only encourage a clean and healthy environment, but also provide economic benefits for the surrounding community.
