Riau Governor (Gubri) Syamsuar inaugurated two pairs of elected regional heads for the 2021-2026 period at the Rainbow Hall of the Riau Governor’s Office Complex, Jalan Diponegoro Pekanbaru, Monday, June 21, 2021.
The two pairs are Alfedri-Husni Merza as Regent and Deputy Regent of Siak Regency, and Sukiman-Indra Gunawan as Regent and Deputy Regent of Rokan Hulu Regency (Rohul).
The inauguration of these two regional heads is based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) RI Number 131.14 -1042 of 2021 and Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 131.14 -1271 of 2021.
On this occasion, Governor Syamsuar congratulated the two newly inaugurated regional heads. His party believes that the Regent and Deputy Regents of Siak and Rohul for the period 2021-2026 can carry out the mandate as well as possible according to the responsibilities given.
“On behalf of the community and the government, I congratulate the Regent and Deputy Regents of Siak and Rokan Hulu who have been elected,” he said.
He revealed that the inauguration has a strategic meaning, especially in the context of sustainable leadership and the continuity of the development process as well as governance, community development in Siak and Rokan Hulu Regencies in the future.
For this reason, he hopes that the newly inaugurated regional heads with the mandate that has been given can bring better progress and prosperity to Siak and Rokan Hulu Regencies.
To note, the inauguration of the two regional heads was carried out following the health protocol and the number of invitees who attended was also limited.
