Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said that his office had made various preparations together with tourism and creative economy players ahead of the reopening of tourism in Bali this July.
The province is ready to welcome tourists as the Covid-19 vaccination rate has reached 70 percent.
The ministry and business players had also developed adequate infrastructure. Tourist destinations in the province have also obtained a CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability) certificate as assurance for tourists amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The reopening of the tourism sector is supported by the declaration of green zone status for Bali.
Three regions have been categorized as Covid-19 free zones, namely Ubud in Gianyar Regency, Nusa Dua in Badung Regency, and Sanur in Denpasar City.
The minister also planned to open Bali tourism through the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA). To date, the policy has entered the finalization stage of the trial for accepting foreign tourists in July 2021.
Sandiaga Uno continues to coordinate with relevant ministries and institutions, especially the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Law and Human Rights Ministry, the Health Ministry, the Covid-19 Task Force, and the Bali Provincial Government so that the TCA could be applied on time as targeted.
