The performance of two waste transport companies in Pekanbaru, namely Godang Tua Jaya and Samhana Indah, is considered by the Regional House of Representatives to be still not optimal.
Even though waste management has been handed over, there is still a lot of garbage piled up in Pekanbaru.
Robin Eduar assessed that the performance of the two companies was not optimal because it was suspected that the number of fleets was insufficient.
“I think the fleet is lacking, so it cannot cover all areas according to the work contract,” said the member of Commission IV.
In fact, the Environment and Forestry Service of Pekanbaru should not let this problem drag on.
The Environment and Forestry Service of Pekanbaru must be strictly monitored, and evaluated every day the performance of the two companies.
“For this, we ask the Environment and Forestry Service of Pekanbaru to immediately conduct an evaluation. As a responsible technical of Regional Apparatus Organization. Don’t just accept reports on paper. But, please check the facts in the field,” he said.
In order to find out the real problem, his party will again call the Environment and Forestry Service of Pekanbaru.
Even so, his party will hold a meeting to determine the time to summon the Environment and Forestry Service of Pekanbaru.
Based on the facts, according to Robin, ideally, 80 units of the fleet are needed to transport waste in the scope of a third party. If there are less than 80 units of the fleet, it is possible that this will happen.
“Currently, there is a dualism of waste transportation, apart from the transportation of waste carried out by third parties, there is also independent or community-based waste transportation. For this reason, the Environment and Forestry Service of Pekanbaru must immediately resolve and find common ground so that this dualism of waste transportation does not happen again,” he said
