Deputy Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives of Riau, Agung Nugroho, said that several issues that were of serious concern to his side were focused on the health department and hospitals.
Such as handling self-isolation by the health office, contact tracing, readiness of human resources, coordination from the village to sub-district, district to provincial levels.
“Including earlier, we also discussed the incentives for medical personnel, both State Civil Apparatus, and non-State Civil Apparatusstatus. It turns out that there are still many that have not been paid. This is a special note for us to the local government to solve immediately,” said Agung Nugroho.
He further conveyed that Commission V of the Regional House of Representatives of Riau also discussed the health facilities owned by the hospital.
Such as the ICU room specifically for Covid-19 patients, beds, health workers, supporting equipment such as ventilators, oxygen, personal protective equipment (PPE), medicines to ambulances. Because according to the council, until now there are still many complaints from the public, especially Covid-19 patients who complain about the facilities provided by the hospital.
“Hospital health facilities are also discussed intensively. Such as the inpatient room for Covid-19 patients, the number of which must be 30 percent of the number of existing beds. This we ask must also be fulfilled. Praise the Lord (Alhamdullilah), from the results of the meeting, all parties agreed and will carry out an evaluation,” he said.
On that occasion, Agung also appreciated the Riau Police, represented by the Deputy Chief of Police, Brigadier General Drs Tabana Bangun, who was present at the meeting.
According to him, the role of the police in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 is very large in Bumi Lancang Kuning. Therefore, his party deliberately invited the Riau Police to ask for directions and inputs that could be implemented by the Health Service and the hospital management.
“We deliberately invited the Riau Regional Police earlier, Alhamdulillah also attended by the Deputy Chief of Police. Of course, we also want to ask for positive inputs from the Health Office as well as hospitals. Because after all, the role of the Police in suppressing the number of pandemics in Riau in particular, we really appreciate,” he concluded.
