Democratic candidate Joe Biden beats President Donald Trump in Wisconsin, but according to polls published on Monday from Reuters / Ipsos, the race could be tight in Pennsylvania.
The Wisconsin poll shows Biden is five points ahead of Trump, 48% to 43%. Biden is found to be up from 49% to 46%, a 3-point lead in the Pennsylvania poll.
Wisconsin has 10 electoral votes, while Pennsylvania has 20. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016, but Hilton managed to win both states against Clinton. Trump finished with 304 electoral votes – 34 votes above the 304 electoral thresholds.
Many political analysts believe that the road to Trump’s victory runs through the Midwest. In 2016, Trump managed to win in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. According to a recent poll, in 2020, all four states may be cemeteries. Trump can turn against just two of the blue states that went to Clinton – Minnesota and New Hampshire, but polls show he is falling behind in both.
Pennsylvania and Wisconsin may be linked specifically to Trump. In the 2018 Gubernatorial Race, Pennsylvania Democrats scored a resounding victory, while Wisconsin recorded a solid Democratic win. Voters are often powerful in presidential elections.
On Monday, Biden visited Wisconsin and visited an aluminum plant 70 miles north of Milwaukee. Biden attacked the Trump administration’s response to COVID-19, as the number of virus deaths in the country approaches 200,000.
