Siak Regency again received Unqualified Opinion (WTP) 5 times in a row on the Assessment of Financial Statements in a row for 2015 – 2019. The award was handed over virtually by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati due to the implementation of the 2020 National Coordination Meeting for Government Financial Accounting and Reporting at Jakarta.
The National Working Meeting which was held with the theme “Challenges of State Financial Accountability in Handling the Covid-19 Pandemic and National Economic Recovery” was carried out in order to increase accountability and transparency in the management of state finances in handling the Covid-19 pandemic and National Economic Recovery and to encourage the optimization of the use of information technology in an era of adaptation to new habits.
Regional Secretary of Siak Regency Arfan Usman explained, this year’s Rakernas was held in a series of activities on September 22-24, 2020 such as Talkshows, Webinars, Coaching Clinic, including the awarding of the reporting entities that won the WTP Opinion 10 times in a row for financial reporting in 2010. – 2019, winner of WTP Opinion 5 times in a row for financial reporting for 2015 – 2019, winner of WTP Opinion in 2019, and recipient of the BMN Award.
There are six regencies who get WTP in Riau Province, including Riau Province, Bengkalis Regency, Meranti Islands, Kuantan Singingi, Pelalawan and Siak Regency.
“Alhamdulillah, Siak Regency again received the WTP Opinion Award from the Minister of Finance, this award shows that the better financial management of the Siak Regency regional government, which is transparent and accountable,” said Arfan Usman.
He also said this award was part of an effort to improve the quality of state financial management, to support development towards a prosperous Indonesia and to increase synergy between the central government and local governments.
