A karaoke bar with no liquor license and jam-packed with nearly 200 patrons in Queens, was shut down early Sunday by city sheriffs.
At that time, the deputy sheriffs raided Home Run KTV on Kissena Blvd. in Flushing just after midnight, and they found many people without masks.
And they also arrested the owner of the bar named Patrick Yam, 44, of Cliffside Park, N.J., and an unlicensed bouncer, Yunkun Zhu, 29, of Flushing.
As cited News24xx.com from TOI, from the raided, the deputy sheriffs found one entrance for the bar with 192 people inside a warren of rooms drinking, smoking, and flouting social-distancing rules.
And the authorities said that the bar’s liquor license expired in March 2020.
“We also seized a significant inventory of alcoholic beverages,” city Sheriff Joe Fucito said.
The raid came less than 24 hours after deputy sheriffs shut down a Lower East Side karaoke bar with 78 people inside. At that time, the sheriffs hit the owner of K-One Karaoke Bar on Bowery St. and an unlicensed bouncer.
