Tragic, after unable to pay for their young son’s burial, a grieving family forced to leave the body on the floor.
The teen, 19, died from natural causes and the funeral bill came to 3,500 Mexican pesos, about £ 120.
The family also told that the funeral directors allegedly confiscated the coffin, after they couldn’t afford the £120 bill.
As result, the teenager’s body was reportedly left in a garage and still surrounded by flowers and incense candles.
But now, the funeral went ahead after mourners took to social media to ask for financial donations towards the burial after the family couldn’t come up with all of the money. Known, the family had managed to hand over about 900 pesos but this was refused by the funeral home which wanted payment in full.
The incident happened in the town of Tehuacan in the Mexican state of Puebla.
As cited News24xx.com from Spanish newspapers, the funeral home gatecrashed the wake at their home and took away the coffin, removing the corpse and putting it on the concrete floor.
Now, the donations flooded in and they were able to buy a new coffin and allow the funeral to go ahead.
