Responding to the rampant bicycle robbery action in various regions, through instructions from the Riau Police Chief, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Police Chief, AKBP Dian Setyawan, has formed a special team for anti-cycling.
During the launching which was attended by 10 bicycle communities in Indragiri Hilir, the Inhil Police Chief hoped that by holding this launching people who have a hobby of cycling will be more aware of the actions of bicycle robbery.

The police chief also shared tips that are highly recommended for Goweser such as cycling at least two people, choosing a safe route and time, avoiding excessive use of accessories, avoiding using sling bags, and avoiding putting your cellphone on your arm or hanging on a bicycle.
“We will take preventive action by carrying out patrols on bicycle routes to prevent bicycle robberies from occurring. The police have also mapped locations deemed prone to bicycle thugs in the Inhil area,” he continued.
The police chief hopes that do not provoke the perpetrators of fraud, such as cycling while taking selfies and carrying valuables.
The police suggested that if you are carrying a cellphone, you should put it in a safe place, namely the pocket under the bicycle seat.
“Look for a safer route, to together be able to protect ourselves. Try not to cycle at night, let alone at dawn,” said the Police Chief.
