PEP Guardiola has signed a two-year contract that will keep him as the Manchester City manager until the summer of 2023.
“Manchester City is pleased to announce that Pep Guardiola has signed a two-year contract with the club,” wrote a statement on City’s website.
This confirmation ending the speculation about the future of the 49-year-old manager with the English Premier League (EPL) club.
Guardiola’s contract is scheduled to expire at the end of the season and the Spanish coach is said to be ready to leave City.
But Guardiola agreed to stay at the Etihad Stadium until at least 2023.
Guardiola, meanwhile, told the City website: “We have achieved a lot of success together, scoring goals, winning games, and trophies, and we are all very proud of that success. Having that kind of support is the best thing a manager that can have,” he said.
