The goverment of Indonesia celebrates Heroes Day which falls every November 10. And the Government of Indragiri Hilir regularly carries out pilgrimages to the Tomb of Heroes (TMP) Yudha Bhakti in Tembilahan.
On Tuesday morning, Nov 11, 2020, the ceremony was held in TMP Yudha Bhakti Tembilahan and still following the health protocols.
This pilgrimage was marked by the laying of a flower wreath by the Regent of Indragiri Hilir, HM Wardan, and was continued by sowing flowers from Forkopimda and the participants that joints in that ceremony.
After sowing the flowers, Mr. Wardan gave his affection to several veterans.
Even though during the Covid – 19 pandemic, the Regent said that Heroes Day can be held solemnly and not lose the meaning.
“We hoped that the community can echo the spirit and the values of heroism with various activities with health protocols,” the Regent hoped.
